Shout! Studios Acquires North American Rights To Just Breathe, Paul P. Pompa III’s New Crime Thriller From MPX Films

Shout! Studios, a multi-platform media company, has acquired North American rights to JUST BREATHE from Motion Picture Exchange (MPX) and Rockwood Champ production. Written and directed by Paul P. Pompa III, the crime thriller stars Kyle Gallner (Smile, Strange Darling), Shawn Ashmore (X-Men, Darkness Falls), E’myri Crutchfield (Dark Harvest, Fargo), and William Forsythe (The Devil’s Rejects, The Man in the High Castle). The announcement was made today by Jordan Fields, Senior Vice President of Acquisitions and Originals at Shout! Studios, James Andrew Felts, CEO and Founder of MPX Film, and Ryan Bury, Senior Vice President of Sales and Acquisitions at MPX Films.

JUST BREATHE follows Nick Bianco (Gallner), who plans to rebuild his life and win back the love of his life after a year spent in prison for assault. Upon his release, Nick learns that the target of his affections has another admirer, Chester (Ashmore), his no-nonsense parole officer. Nick soon finds himself caught in a tense rivalry that threatens not only his second chance at love but also his chance to stay out of prison.

A Rockwood Champ Production in association with MPX Films, JUST BREATHE is produced by Paul P. Pompa III, James Agnew, Cam Cannon, and Rick Dugdale with David Hillary and Aaron Collins as co-producers. Executive producers are Wendy Benge, Ryan Bury, and James Andrew Felts.

Shout! Studios has secured all distribution rights in North America to JUST BREATHE, including theatrical, digital, video-on-demand, broadcast, and home entertainment for cross-platform releases. Shout! Studios plans a strategic launch of this movie later this year.

The movie deal was negotiated by Ryan Bury for MPX Films and the filmmakers, and Studios’ Jordan Fields and Steven Katz, Vice President of Business Affairs.
