While I did not get to see any of the first Presidential debate, or see most of the Vice Presidential debate, I am well aware of how bad the Republicans looked, thanks to NPR. I was quite impressed, however, that Dick Cheney knew and thought enough to mention factcheck.org, even though he gave the URL incorrectly as factcheck.com. While this group is touted as bipartisan, the intelligent republicans seem to be the ones that usually are made to look back by the site, at least this go around.
I began to wonder how long it would take for someone to register the misquoted domain and use it to bash Bush and the Republicans. Turns out, not too long. From The Laporte Report, "the dot-com site now sends surfers to financier George Soros’s anti-Bush site".
