In reference to my previous posting about Sponge Bob and tollerance, you've got to love it when the United Church of Christ speaks out against the notion that Sponge Bob is too tolerant and is a homosexual. Read about it here.

The article mentions James Dobson as founder of the organization "Focus on the Family." Dobson has been around a long time and actually became popular when he instructed parents to "take back the power" by using corporal punishment as the primary means of discipline. He became popular in schools with the same disciplinarian view, more in Southern schools than northern metropolitan schools.
You would be surprised to learn how many people, intellectuals and perhaps even close friends, agree with his philosophy. (even if they don't know it!)
