Go Giants!

Yesterday, I went down to Baltimore with my father-in-law, brother-in-law, and a few neices and nephews. They are in town from South Bend IN visiting for a few days, and that was one of our many adventures. Larry got us all tickets to see the San Francisco Giants play the Baltimore Orioles. This was only the second time I have been to a major league baseball game, and only the third professional sporting event. I'm not one to really watch sports, either on TV or in person (except for MU basketball), but I had a blast.

We got to see Barry Bonds hit a solo homerun in the third inning, and then a total of 5 more between the two teams combined. The game went into extra innings after the Orioles failed to capitalize on loaded bases with no outs in the bottom of the 9th. The Giants ended up winning the game with 4 runs in the 11th inning, making the final score 9-6.

The weather could not have been better, and the game was really enjoyable. The only bad part, I had to leave Karen up here. I think she would have had a good time. It was hard on my at first to leave her, knowing that I would be about 2-3 hours away if she were to go into labor, but nothing like that happend.

Today it's off to Hershey Park with the family. It's been a busy, but fun weekend. I took a bunch of pictures of the ball park, and even some of Barry. I will get those posted in a couple of days, along with pictures of Hershey.
