doh! your gallery is much prettier than mine! you must teach me your magical ways. the bridge pics are nice, and as expected, i'm pretty partial to the paige pics.

my magical ways? I really did nothing other than change the template used in the preferences... :) But I can show you, then you will owe me a beer :)

Hey now, don't forget who helped YOU get your gallery going, Doug. ;)

I don't really care for many of the templates. Lots of them are obnoxious. You picked one of the less evil ones, but there's still lots of stuff I don't like about them.

Oh yeah, remind me to send you my red-eye removal link when I get home.

But of course.. I couldn't have done it without you Stacey :)

red-eye removal link? please post it. my favorite method has been to switch to red channel only, select the eye area, then desaturate it. that removes just the red, usually darkening the eye and leaving the rest of the color. i use gimp, of course.

Although John's method seems much much easier.

yeah, i originally, tried painting over it, but it made the eyes look flat and dull. i've read and tried a couple different methods. i might try to write a gimp script to do the desaturate for me.

The method the link describes does seem to work pretty well. The pictures of Paige from at Todd's house had major red-eye, but I think I managed to take the red out while still looking like an eye. And it doesn't look obvious to me that they were corrected. Which is always good. :)
